Hans Wegner was a furniture designer who contributed to the international popularity of mid-century Danish design. Known as the “King of Chairs”, Wegner designed over 500 chairs in his lifetime with 100 making it in mass production. His style is often described as Organic Functionality, a modernist school with emphasis on functionality that originally arose out of contributions by Scandivanian designers.
