Bertoia Diamond Chair

Designed By

Harry Bertoia, an Italian-American modern furniture designer and sculptor, designed the Bertoia Diamond Chair in 1952. Bertoia was influenced by Charles and Ray Eames and the way they were able to shape plywood. Bertoia was interested in experimenting and manipulating metal rods to create a beautiful and ergonomic chair collection. The Diamond chair is made entirely of welded steel wire that shaped the human body and cushion for the seat.

Our spaces are reflections of who we have been, who we are, and who we are becoming. We believe that the objects we surround ourselves with have meaningful impact on the lives we lead, and it is our mission to empower people to find and experiment with objects that move them, resourcefully, sustainably, and freely.
