Cabriolet Bed

Designed By

Joe Colombo, an Italian Industrial designer, designed the Cabriolet Bed in 1969. Colombo was interested in researching and conceptualizing furniture for the future. The Cabriolet Bed has a retractable canopy that could simulate day and nighttime conditions at any point of the day. It was meant to be an all-in-one living space, and it also contained a built-in radio, telephone, and electric fan.

Our spaces are reflections of who we have been, who we are, and who we are becoming. We believe that the objects we surround ourselves with have meaningful impact on the lives we lead, and it is our mission to empower people to find and experiment with objects that move them, resourcefully, sustainably, and freely.
