Marshmallow Sofa

George Nelson, an American industrial designer, designed the Marshmallow Sofa in 1956 for Herman Miller. Nelson wanted to create a sofa that did not contain any wooden parts. The design consists of eighteen brightly colored foam upholstered discs arranged around a metal frame.
